Champtyre was honored to take part in two key milestone celebrations held by GS Cambodia at its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in the Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone: the production of the plant’s 10 millionth tire and the rollout of its 900,000th TBR (Truck and Bus Radial) tire. These back-to-back achievements mark not only the rapid growth of GS Cambodia but also the strength of its partnership with Champtyre.
As a core strategic partner, Champtyre has closely collaborated with GS Cambodia since the plant’s inception, supporting the company's expansion in both the passenger car and commercial truck tire markets. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term global competitiveness.
During the milestone events, Champtyre representatives joined GS leadership, government officials, and industry stakeholders to tour the plant and participate in commemorative ceremonies. These events showcased GS Cambodia’s advanced production capabilities and its key role in the region’s industrial development.
Since commencing operations in 2023, the GS Cambodia plant has rapidly scaled up, reaching its initial capacity of 5 million PCR and 900,000 TBR tires per year. With Phase II of the project underway, the facility is expected to add another 3.5 million passenger tires and 750,000 truck tires annually. The plant now employs over 1,600 local workers and exports globally to markets including the United States, Europe, and Brazil.
