Previously offered in 295/75R22.5, GP55 has earned solid market feedback for its stable handling, even wear, and strong casing durability. With the addition of 11R22.5—one of the most widely used sizes in the North American TBR market—we're making it easier for fleets and distributors to build a more complete and competitive steer lineup.
GP55 is a true dedicated steer design, not simply an all-position substitute. The optimized tread layout improves road contact and promotes uniform wear, helping extend mileage while maintaining reliable performance on the steer axle. At the same time, its robust carcass construction supports retread value, an important factor for cost-conscious fleet operators.
Market conditions are also playing a bigger role in purchasing decisions. With Section 232 tariffs currently in place and ongoing trade policy discussions in the U.S., duty levels remain subject to change. To minimize potential exposure to future adjustments, many customers are choosing to secure orders and production schedules earlier to protect both supply continuity and margin stability.
